As a member of the Data Platform & Optimizations team, our mission is to build up the platform of data that enables people to make decisions & take actions with data-driven. As a Software Development Manager, you will be a key contributor to the future technology roadmap and long-term vision of Data Platform & Optimizations. In addition to a mechanism driven approach to launching new initiatives, the position will be responsible for exploring strategic and tactical scenarios, designing solutions, developing business cases, and managing complex projects as part of continuously improving the efficiency of our fulfillment operations.

Responsibilities:

• Be a hands-on leader - lead Agile team(s) of high caliber engineers by working hand in hand with them in building a scalable, reliable system.
• Work with your engineers to define the next generation architecture of the systems.
• Foster strong culture of software engineering best practices by implementing processes and tools (code reviews, code quality, automation, CI/CD to monitoring).
• Work with product managers and operational stakeholders to understand requirements, set priorities, build the roadmap, and deliver to plan.
• Iteratively brainstorming, designing & building up instrumentals that helps product teams maximize their velocity & adaptability to business decisions.
• Attract the best talent through your own network and by partnering with recruiting, meet aggressive hiring targets.
• Mentor, coach and motivate your engineers to do the best work of their lives.

Our stack includes: Java, Go, Kafka, Redis, MySQL, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Docker.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of Software Engineering, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, distributed, web based production systems.
• Well-understood concepts & underlying processes support AI / ML projects. Used to lead optimizations projects with measured, proven & data-driven impacts contributing to business & customer. 
• Good at problem solving. Good at OOP.
• Advanced at least one programming language: Java, Python, Go, C/C++.
• Proficiency with cloud-hosted system architectures and variety of data storage technologies
• Deep customer focus: you care deeply about the product experience, you understand users’ motivations and frustrations
