Job Description

A fit candidate is expected to be a data analyst with a deep understanding of e-commerce and retail. She/He shall be familiar with pricing concepts (including pricing elasticity, pricing optimization…) and able to provide suitable pricing strategies for various groups of selections and categories during different periods of time (promotion campaigns, baselines) to maintain/gain the market competitiveness and help business drive towards the company’s profitability

What should you do

1. Pricing strategy

  • Analyze historical and competitors data, combining with business knowledge to provide pricing solutions, pricing strategies for retailed selections of company
  • Define metrics and build dashboards for pricing evaluation and business performance tracking

2. Pricing optimization

  • Research and work with the Product team and internal team to improve the pricing optimization model with initiatives

3. Data governance

  • Maintain/ update data sources related to pricing

What should you have

  • Majors in statistics, economics or related quantitative fields
  • 1+ years of experience in data analytics ( preferred in ecom, retail)
  • Good understanding of pricing concepts, such as pricing elasticity, profitability, pricing optimization for profit maximizing and efficient inventory of varied selections.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (SQL, Gsheet, Data Studio, Python is plus for modeling) and building dashboards.
  • Strong analytical thinking, business sense and communication skills
  • Proven problem solving skills, attention to detail.
  • Adaptable in a fast growing environment and willing to work under pressures. 
  • A team player yet can work independently
